Dr. Kushwaha is a materials scientist, working in the area of design and synthesis of nanomaterials for energy devices. He received the M.Sc. degree in Physics with specialization in Electronics from C.S.J.M.University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, in 2006. He received the Ph.D. degree in Physics (Nanomaterials) from IIT Bombay in 2014.
He is with IIT Indore since July 2016 working as an Inspire Faculty in the School of Engineering. Before joining IIT Indore, he worked as a Scientist-I in Institute of Materials Research and Enginering, A*STAR, Singapore from Feb 2014 to July 2016. Prior to join his doctoral research, he worked as Lecturer in Physics at KCNIT Banda (From Aug 2006 to July 2007) and PSIT, Kanpur (From Aug 2007 to Dec 2007).
Dr. Kushwaha is life-member of Indian Physics Association (IPA), Electron Microscope Society of India (EMSI) and Luminescence Society of India (LSI).
He has published more than 40 research articles, 01 International Patent (Technology is licensed) and 01 book chapter. Dr. Kushwaha is the regular reviewer for Nanotechnology, J. Physics D: Appl. Phys., Nanoscale, Thin Solid Films, J.Applied Electrochemistry, Ceramic International, Materials Research Express, Materials & Design, Surface Science and Engineering journals.
