Research Summary: The research area of our interest broadly lies in the field of catalysis. We are interested in the development of catalysts, optimization of catalytic reactions, understanding the reaction mechanism and the application of catalysts for important organic reactions (such as coupling reactions, biofuel, C-H bond activation, and small molecule activation). The field of catalysis has shown astronising growth in last several decades. Therefore it is very important to fix our priorities and objectives in this rapidly growing field of catalysis. Since begining, we have been engaged in the development of catalysts which are cost effective (inexpensive/ low cost), active for water based reactions and room-temperature reactions without any inert atmosphere protection. Moreover, we are exploring both the ways of catalysis, homogeneous (metal complexes) and heterogeneous (metal nanoparticles), for our research.
