Indian Institute of Technology is an institute of national importance established by Government of India in 2009. It is one of the eight new IITs started by MHRD India. The foundation of permanent campus builds over the area of 510-acre on 17 Feb 2009 at Simrol, 25 kms from the Indore city.
Vigyan Jyoti is an important new venture of Department of Science and Technology (DST) which aims at increasing the representations of girls in all areas of Science and Technology.
A scholarship of Rs.5000/- will be awarded to 30 selected participants.
IIT Indore is assigned a project to conduct knowledge, personality, and skill development activities for 30 bright girls.
The objectives :
There will be interactive sessions and lectures for enhancing their basics and their English communication skills. Small scientific project at their level and demonstrations in labs are planned for enhancing their skills. There will also be activities like tour to one industry in the city, excursion, exercises, fitness and sport activities.
IIT Indore is conducting a programme under Vigyan Jyoti scheme of Department of Science and Technology. The programme is for selected 30 girl students from 21st May – 10th June 2018.
A Scholarship of Rs.5000/- and a certificate of participation will be awarded to each student on successful completion. Food and accommodation will be provided by IIT Indore. The participants need to stay in IIT campus for the duration of three weeks of this programme.
